At Peace and Heart Mind Care our telepsychiatry services aim to provide a non-judgmental, no stigmatization and confidential place for patients to express themselves freely.

In order to provide client with exceptional service Peace and Heart Mind Care, is on limited insurance panels including Medicare. We conduct a fee-for-service model. Patients pay their chosen service fee before the scheduled visit with the provider. As a courtesy we can provide you with a superbill for you to file for reimbursement with your insurance company.

Once your appointment is confirmed you will be provided with paperwork via registering to the Electronic Health Record (EHR) call CharmHealth. Completed paperwork has to be received at least 24 hrs before your scheduled appointment.

We have a strict 24-hr notice for cancellation. For cancellation less than 24 hrs, you will forfeit the entire cost of your scheduled service since we do not double book clients, that time is still considered yours even if you are not in attendance. After 3 cancellations you will be dismissed and would be encouraged to seek treatment with another provider.

All new patients to the practice need a psychiatric evaluation appointment before a medication management appointment. No exception.

A nurse practitioner is a master or doctoral prepared registered nurse professional known as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) of simply NP. NPs are licensed and independent medical clinicians with expertise in a chosen specialty. They are trained to assess, diagnose, and treat illness by prescribing medicine, ordering and interpreting laboratory and imaging tests, conducting patient counseling, and promoting preventative care. Specialty NPs, like in psychiatry, are avid and ongoing learners to remain abreast of medical and psychiatry advances. One of the advantages of having a nurse practitioner as your provider is that by profession they are caring, compassionate, man/woman of integrity, stellar patient advocate and dedicated to optimal patient outcomes.

The app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or from the Google Play Store for Android. The visit can be through your chosen devices: desktop, laptop, tablet or cellular device. Please be comfortable and familiarize yourself using these devices before your scheduled appointment as your scheduled time is irrespective of you knowing how to use the technology. Documentation of your visit is through an iCloud program called CharmHealth. Upon receipt of your appointment request easy to fill forms will be sent through to patient portal. Please register in the patient portal as it is a must to receive and complete forms, notices, receipts etc. For your telepsychiatry appointment we ask that you are in a quiet area with no disruption for the entire time of your visit.
